Wheeler Historic Farm

My wife and I went to a reception at this venue. Everything was wonderful. The reception was inside the barn, which is beautiful. The park looked very large and spacious with plenty of things to do for every age group. Parking was a bit tight that evening, but that's probably due to the wedding reception. It looked like there was a board with a schedule of fun family-friendly events. Parents of young children may consider coming here!

Gorgeous location! There are ducks, chickens, goats, cows etc that are fun to see, and you can pay to watch a milking. You can ride the carriage (for a fee) and tour the beautiful grounds (that part is free). There's a park for kids on one end. Great for rustic family photos, for sure! I am a photographer and shoot a lot of families and brides here.

Rare-to-find open, natural space (not a landscaped, designed urban park) right in the middle of Murray. Impressive preservation of its original, natural character. Great for all ages. Pond and creek. Beautiful wide walking trails. Farm activities for children and families (check schedule). Playground in the front. Classes, camps, events year round. Venue rentals, tours. Farm animals behind fences and chickens running free. Operating farmstead. Sunday farmers market w food trucks. Lots of parking.

Such a great place to go when you have free time with your family. They have anything and everything you'd want to do when it either comes to farming or simple outdoor activities. You can ride bikes, walk your dogs, go on a trailer hay ride, and many other fun things. Some activities do cost money like the hay ride and helping to milk the cows, but it's not expensive at all. It completely deserves the five stars!

A gorgeous oasis in the city filled with lush green landscaping and wonderful staff. Wheeler farm hosts multiple activities, a Sunday farmers market filled with local vendors of all types, farm animal and farming activities. There are gardens and sweet chainsaw carved trees and amazing people who love what they do. I recommend Wheeler Farm to families and anyone who wants to get away from city life or learn about the various activities that go on on the farm!
