As an experienced but now retired therapist who used to practice with them, I have known Tracy and all the therapists at VFC for many years. Each and every one of them are warm, compassionate and highly skilled professionals. They go above and beyond requirements to maintain their continuing education in order to bring the most up-to-date approaches to helping their clients and their ethics are scrupulous. They bring a unique blend of seriousness of purpose with warm good humor to give their clients the best service possible. I'm proud to have been associated with them.

I have known Tracy Ryan Kidd, Freda Smith Vittone, Robin Feldman, and Diana Gibb for over five years. I originally met Tracy when I attended her EMDR consultation group to incorporate trauma work into my psychiatric practice. Thereafter I met Freda, Robin, and Diana while I attended the EMDR group. The information I learned in the EMDR consultation group was very informative and I have continued to use the techniques in my practice for some time now. I have never met a group of practitioners who have the dedication and cutting edge skills based on the latest research, yet possess warmth while being professional and personable as well. They are all very responsive therapists whose primary concern is for the welfare of their clients. I have referred my patients to the group over the years because I know my patients will be well taken care of. I have only heard positive feedback from our shared patients. Many of my patients have had positive life changing experiences with Tracy, Freda, Robin and Diana. They are also very collaborative and have created a therapeutic team for our shared patients. I truly value my working relationship with the Center and will continue to refer to this marvelously skilled group of therapists.

I’ve referred clients to Virginia Family Counseling (VFC) for over 5 years. The therapists at VFC provide services that fit everyone’s needs and willing to do what is needed to help each client reach their goals. From Robin who uses play therapy & other techniques, including sitting on the floor, to help children feel safe and relax while they work through their issues, to Freda who has a multitude of strategies for working with couples and clients who have anxiety and phobias, and Diana who help clients combine their interests and skills to plot their career path, and finally to Tracy with her incredible depth of knowledge, skills, dedication and unending energy to help her clients work through difficult and distressing life events. I have known Tracy Ryan Kidd and the other therapists at Virginia Family Counseling for more than a decade. Tracy has expertise in trauma and dissociation and is a Certified EMDR Consultant. Tracy has provided excellent EMDR training to many therapists in the midatlantic region and also coordinates regional training for EMDR therapists. I have referred to Tracy Ryan Kidd and the other therapists in her practice for many years and they are all excellent. Her clinicians serve children, adolescents, adults and families. VFC is a well respected practice and clients served here are in great care!

I have known Tracy Ryan Kidd for over 10 years. I initially met Tracy a few years after I was trained in EMDR and attended a consultation group she ran in Fairfax. I have been in contact with Tracy as a member of one of her consultation groups and as a colleague ever since. Tracy is a phenomenal EMDR consultant and clinician, and her warmth and kindness lend themselves to making her so approachable, which is imperative in a good therapist and consultant. I have and will continue to see Tracy as a great resource to myself and other clinicians and a great therapist to her clients. Also, from my relationship with Tracy, I have come to know Robin Feldman and Diana Gibb, who are associates in her practice.
