Thunderbird Beach Motel

Love this hotel! My three children and I stayed here for only a 24 hour quick trip during the Sun Festival in September.. We loved it! The third floor room was great with not one, not two, but three windows! Not even the highend hotels can offer three windows. The room was clean. We were just a small step away from the beach by foot about 20 seconds from the stairwell. On the corner of the hotel closest to the beach there is provided a convenient outside shower to spray off sand from our bodies. Our room had two comfortable queen beds with new linens, a mini fridge, valuables safe. All wall paper, curtains, and carpet were in tip top shape. Also, the outside pool was wonderful! As we walked back from the boardwalk at dusk we were drawn to the very inviting violet colored pool lights. We all quickly changed and got in the heated (which means not freezing) pool. Pool floor was clean and so was the deck and provided tables. The front office staff was extremely pleasant and knowledgeable. Also, a new Burger King is right across the highway so bonus for us! We have stayed at the neighboring Hilton and much prefer the Thunderbird for its easy beach access and all things quaint it has to offer. Bonus—-after check out we were allowed to continue using our parking pass, and the pool and changing room/shower/toilet as long as we wanted! So fantastic.We plan to always stay at the Thunderbird in the future.

Was pleasantly surprised how nice the front desk staff were. Our room was very accommodating for 2 to 4 people & clean. Housekeeping did an excellent job. Very close to the beach & close to some amusements, a market & fast food places. The pool was kept clean. You get what you pay for. Would stay again!!!

Prices were good. Clean rooms great location close to beach.

This is an older motel. However it is clean & reasonably priced. Staff was friendly & informative. Given the opportunity I would stay there again.
