Suntar's Kennels

VERY nice people and an extremely clean facility. I had to board my pup last minute and they had room, gave me a tour and everything looked great. Pup came home excited and tired! Lots of free play time with the other dogs.

This kennel has been absolutely amazing for my dog and I. They are one of the only kennels that can single board a dog who is fearful of other dogs and they treat the dogs like their own so much that they work with the dogs on socialization. They are very knowledgeable and have gone above and beyond for my new rescue and I. I am really grateful for the staff at Suntars. As for the one star review about the owners not being genuine, the “odd Russian” woman as you described her, invited me to go on hikes with her and her own foster on her own time, to help me socialize my dog who has really been struggling with other dogs. The young staff member was a little rude with me when I brought my dog in a few minutes before closing, but she also gave me her personal phone number to let me know when her dog was going to be there because they thought he might be a good playmate for my selective dog. Maybe they aren’t the most bubbley with the owners, but they have been extremely honest with me about my dogs behaviors and I don’t for a second doubt their love and experience with animals. Honestly, the daycares that are the most bubbley with the owners are often the most inexperienced with animals and unable to take training, behavior and safety seriously. I used to go to a daycare that was like that and they constantly had fights break out because they let the dogs do whatever they wanted and treated them like babies out of fear of upsetting the owners with a serious demeanor. I actually witnessed that daycare scold an employee for separating two dogs because they thought the owners wouldn’t like to see their dog being pulled by the collar and separated. I’d personally rather have my dog removed from a potentially unsafe situation.

Love love these doggie loving people. Our dog enjoys them too. Plenty of room to run and onsite groomer is nice.(appt. Needed)
