Sage Woodfire Tavern - Atlanta

A Diamond in the rough, Sage Woodfire Tavern is an awesome place. I had planned on taking my wife to Pappadeaux for Mother's Day, well after arriving it didn't take long to see that seemingly everyone in Atlanta had the same idea, as the wait time was in excess of 2 hours, we decided there would be no Pappadeaux this day lol. So, just down the street on corner sits this beautiful building with excellent curb appeal. We decide we'll give this place a shot. Sage Woodfire Tavern, looks as good inside as it does outside, very intimate setting, soft lighting, live music with a very talented musician. We are seated right away, and the waiter a young wiry but knowledgeable slim AA gentleman name slips my mind at the moment, give us a tour of the menu tells us the local favorites, and takes or orders. Food and drinks arrived promptly, and our meals didn't disappoint, a lot a the food is prepared by woodfire. If your looking for a nice place for a special occasion or 1st date, I recommend this spot.

Food was exceptional, ambiance was nice used to be Houston's on Windy Hill, and we were seated at the table quickly, on my first visit service was slow maybe it was the time but on my second visit service was a good pace. Staff was friendly and professional. I did have an issue with an item in-which they quickly and willingly addressed it. The mgmt team was completely focused on the customer experience!

What an amazing restaurant. The food was perfectly prepared and the service was excellent. The restaurant was packed when we got there so we had to park a little ways away. As soon as we got out of the car, an employee of the restaurant was waiting there in a golf cart to drive us up to the door. I highly recommend you eat here if you have a chance!

Amazing experience! Truly a great place to go for dinner without the Atl traffic. Steak was amazing fish was superb. Wait staff rocks!

The restaurant was delicious. The waiter was wonderful. The chicken and waffle app was great.

We had out of town guests in town earlier this month and took them to Sage after seeing the Botanical gardens. Great experience with Stacey our waitress. Very impressive young lady. She went above and beyond. My husband has some strict dietary issues and she not only accommodated but also made some additional suggestions that we hadn’t even thought of. Love the location and the ambience. The food was great and Stacey made the experience special! We’ll definitely be back. Fish tacos were great! Yum!

I went there on Saturday to Celebrate my Wife's 38th Birthday Dinner & it was "Amazing"!!! She was greeted at the door by her waitress "Meredith" who was Awesome. The ambiance was Clean and Sultry. The staff was on point in every way I assure you and I am not easily impressed by anything or anyone. I was impressed immensely! Thank you to Anthony the General Manager and Meredith who took awesome care of the Party of 8. Job well Done and we will be back soon!!!

Loved the space. It's different features and the live band and bar. Waitress was a bit overwhelmed but she did her best under the circumstances. The supervisor who came to help was very attentive and had a great memory taking orders. Overall it wasn't perfect but it was good enough to definitely return

The atmosphere here is very, nice. Customer Service was good. Great location and meet up spot, perhaps, for drinks. However, I wasn't a fan of the food at. We were a party of about 12. Most didn't care for their food, some did, but we were there for an event so, we ate it of course. Again, I'm not a fan of their foods. Totally, wasn't impressed.

Man...all we can say was where has this place been. Food was excellent...we we're there celebrating our 29 year anniversary. Told our server Dexter and from that time on was treated like royality. Even had the jazz saxophone player... Kimberly...come by to our table and played one of our favorite songs. "All of Me" by John Legend. Brought my wife to tears. Atmosphere was nice...even when the manager came by to check on our service was blown away by his hospitality. Thank you Sage for a memorable 29 anniversary. Strongly refer the location off Windy Hill for your dinning pleasure and experience.
