River Road City Park Splash Pad

Love to take the kids here. The playground has play structures geared for toddlers up to grade school aged. When the weather permits, the water park is fun for all!

It smells sometimes because it was built incorporating a sewer treatment plant. It has a great play structure for kids including a splash pad. It is a huge park and is great for picnics and family gatherings. There is also tennis and basketball courts. For larger gatherings there's a covered area with picnic tables. It is located next to the Willamette River, but there is no safe river access. The park, in general, safe during the day. The homeless population frequents this park, though. They'll occasionally make you feel uncomfortable and ask you for money. If I were a woman I wouldn't feel comfortable walking around the perimeter by myself. I personally think it's dangerous for any at night to walk there.

Clean bathrooms, always stocked with toilet paper. Also has one nice covered area to reserve with lots of picnic tables and a barbeque pit. Lots of room and soccer goal posts and netting are up, basketball and tennis courts are in good condition. Lots of safe trails for walking the family dog or taking a jog. Grass is green and plush and there is plenty of shade and a beautiful view of the Willamette River. The water play area is safe and easy for parents to see their youngsters at play from many areas of the park. Lots of parking and regularly patrolled by the police. This is a good place for family reunions and company picnics as there is a lot of room for all kinds or activities.

What a gem of a park! This is my first visit and I love it! Beautiful green areas, nice clean equipment, climbing structures and a little water park area with tubes and sprinklers. It's perfect for my 4 year old granddaughter - and the whole family for that matter.

Wonderful splash pad. Fantastic playground. Kids of all races were welcome and playing and laughing together. Plenty of seating area for parents to hang out and watch. There are also a couple of toilets available.
