Plaza Palooza - FREE Concerts in the Oregon Convention Center Plaza

July 23 - August 13. Thursdays, 5:30-7:30 p.m.

See a great band every Thursday night this summer FOR FREE! Enjoy some cool music, cold beer, classic cocktails and delicious Portland food cart fare.

The plaza is on Northeast Oregon Street between NE Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard and Grand Avenue.

All ages welcome. Limited seating is available, but you may bring your own chair. Please, no dogs.

We went to a home show that was a little smaller than I expected. We did enjoy the show anyway. There is a lot of construction going on in the area so parking was an issue. I would recommend taking the MAX Train that stops at the site. That would be a lot easier.

Attended the 2018 Auto Show, Using Google map to navigate downtown it made the drive very easy. The signage to get into the parking garage was very well done. The amount of entrances was impressive and the ability to maintain crowd control equally impressive. Parking ($12) was easy however there was a considerable wait and slow moving line. I know they encourage mass transit but that would have been a 90 minute trip in for me rather than 20 minutes at that time of day.

Good place but I saw some super wacky people at a cosplay convention. It was a sight that still haunts me. I need several weeks to recover from seeing those freaky people before I return to the convention center. I’ll go back if there is another good event that doesn’t involve weirdos.

Big convention center with lots of room for multiple events. Nice and clean with different food and drink options. Bathrooms you have to look for. Parking below in garage. It says on website certain price bit this is NOT true. They change the price for parking depending on the day and event, so be prepared for that. Other parking lots are available around the center and there is street parking if you can find it (we found only Sundays are free street parking).

The staff at the Oregon Convention Center are all really nice. I love their dedication to the environment. Their towers are beautiful, especially now that they light up the way they do. It's so clean inside.
