Lees Ferry Anglers Fly Shop and Guide Service

Spent a day in early November fishing with guide Natalie Jensen from Lees Ferry Anglers. She was fantastic. Fishing was tough to start out but she put us on fish and after almost 8 hours of fishing we were spent. If you are a semi-accomplished fly fisher she will let you do your own thing but she has a wealth of knowledge and experience on the river and is worth listening to. Additionally, the scenery was beautiful such that your eyes kept wandering instead of focusing on the indicator or fish. The fly shop and staff were also great, friendly and helpful. I plan on going back next trip to Arizona.

Made reservations two months before my trip with A guide, and paid a deposit..I called the guide service to try and get info for my trip, but never could talk to a guide... They would not return my call.. The day before my trip I decided to go In the store to check things out and ask questions about the trip.. When introduced my self the person at the counter says" I was just going to call you". At which point she informed me that the guide that I had requested was not going to be able to make it up from Sedona, and that I was going out which one of there other guides. ,.. A guide he was not he spent most of his time texting an watching a body recovery in the canyon...

Thanks for a great two days of tight lines and beautiful wild rainbows. My daughter and I had a great day w/guide Dale and my wife (rode along) enjoyed the gorgeous views of the canyon, wild horses, and mountain goats. Just when you think it can't get any better, day 2, w/ guide Tyson, I had the day that will be long remembered, great fun, finally got the hang of the dead drift, caught beautiful rainbows, 14-16" range, took a couple of minutes to have lunch, and finished the day w/ biggest trout of the morning on the last cast while drifting in the boat. Thanks everybody for a wonderful experience.

A week ago (July 2016), I rented a boat from Lee's Ferry Angler for some DIY fly fishing on the river upstream from Lee's Ferry. The first boat broke down in the morning, of the first day, and the second, in the afternoon of the second day. Had to self-rescue both days: a bit dicey on the second. Lost a lot of fishing time both days. The boats were in terrible shape: rent at your own high risk, and expect an earful of crap from the shop owner when you ask for a rebate. Apparently, I am part of "you people" who are always trying to take advantage of the shop. I assume "you people" are those unfortunate clients seeking a safe and reliable rental. We actually worked out an equitable solution, but the process was ugly.
