Kissimmee

I don't know about you, but I prefer Modern/Technological buildings... It's 2018! This place urges remodeling! Smells like 1945... If they're gonna keep it this way, at least clean it, keep the grounds, put nice lighting, palms, grass, etc...

We visited downtown Kissimmee to pick up our relatives arriving from New York City at the Kissimmee Amtrack station. We rarely are in this area and while traveling to get there we were astonished as to how much investment the city has put into their airport (huh?) the new regional Sun Rail commuter train line along side the Amtrack tracks and the park and lakefront rebuild which we will simply come back another day to enjoy. The Amtrack station does have employees to ticket passengers and assist them with their luggage. The station is a quaint tiny 2 room air conditioned space and also provides bathrooms for Amtrack passengers only. Parking is very easy with multiple street spaces and a small lot behind the station. There are 2 new municipal multistory lots nearby and many exciting resturants that serve visitors and business folks who do buisness perhaps at City Hall and Court House. The area has a causal, friendly vibe and the immediate area is certainly executing on major changes that is revitalizing Kissimmee as a whole.

The station was nice and historical but on12/30/17 at 12:56pm at isle 3 going North the conductor guy who got off the train to help people on was beyond the most disrespectful person I've ever in countered with greyhound. Will be making a complaint to greyhound as the disrespect was towards my grandma for politely asking for a window seat. Beware
