Story

Juana is back on Summit Avenue! Originating on 24th street and Summit avenue in Union City, New Jersey, Juana and her sister Gloria founded Juana & Gloria in 1997. With Juana as the cook, leading in the kitchen and Gloria leading the font, business boomed. Pretty soon, an array of customers formed lines that spilled onto the block and the ladies decided to move their restaurant to a larger location. In 2001, Juana & Gloria moved to the corner of 18th street and Bergenline. After a wonderful 10 years of partnership, Juana decided she wanted to take on the challenge of opening up her very own restaurant. Juana's Restaurant #1 was opened, and Juana returned to Summit Avenue with the original recipes you all know and love.

We had a wonderful one-night stay at Hotel Juana. The room was clean and comfortable - so were the beds! The staff was very helpful and we loved the old-school elevator :-  They work very closely with Hotel Belles Rives so we were able to go for lunch 2x make a reservation and enjoy the pool chairs with the stunning landscape. I also got a facial at the Valmont Spa, Julie was AMAZING. it was the best facial I've ever had in my life. thank you for a great stay!

We wondered into the Hotel Juana without any idea how wonderful the dinner would be. The Octopus which came cooked in an escargot sauce accompanied by  parsley potatoes was delicious. Then the chocolate patisserie arrived! Wow , the melting moments  were truly heavenly. The service was excellent matching the high standard of the food. Definitely worth a visit!

Little disappointed. Picked the executive room but it was just ok. The balcony oversee the pool is cute but the room is still nothing really special to be selected as one of the small luxury hotels of the world. The pool view was cute though.

Perfect in every way. Beautifully quaint, old world charm, lovely room, great breakfast and friendly, helpful staff. We stayed for 3 nights midweek so maybe quieter than Friday/weekend. Very well located, close to fantastic beach front bars and easy walk to the train station for access to Cannes. Nice, Monaco etc. Will definitely be back!

Comfortable stay and friendly staff. The one thing missing for me was the morning coffee in the room.Rooms: 4/5

What ”luxury” hotel does not provide complementary water? The place is old but nice, good location and has ok rooms. Nothing exceptional. Some staff is friendly others not so. The ”fitness center” has some equipment but the layout is odd and I wouldn’t want to share it with anyone else. This is not a five star hotel. Feels like it rides on it’s better sister hotel Belle Rives.

This was a beautiful hotel where we stayed in February. Rates were good. Breakfast was very nice. Staff was very attentive. The decor was very artistic. Pool was closed in Feb. but there was a lot of available parking for free on the surrounding streets, often right out front. Two minute walk to the water. Off season you could still find many places open in town. Antibes is only a 6 minute drive away with easy parking in outside lot. Highly recommended!

Good points: The service is good, the staff are nice,  the room is clean, the food in bar is delicious, the furnitures are some kind of “vintage”.  Bad points: 1- the speed of WiFi is soooo amazingly low; impressive! 2- the matress is not comfortable; 3- all the four pillows are the same: soft and square; funny! 4- the swimming pool, sauna and fitness room open only from 8am-7pm.  interesting!  Considering the ratio of price to equipments, especially in summer,  it is not highly recommended.

Friendly staff who provide a vaguely attentive service. Beds are rock hard, pillows are weird and square. If there were an award for the least comfortable five star hotel this place would surely be a front runner.

Had an excellent 3-day stay here. Would've given 5-stars if they had parking. Also, tile and fixtures in our bathroom could've been updated. A tremendous value compared to what they charge for rooms in Nice and Cannes.
