I had Janelle cut/style/wax my brows & I have to say she was wonderful! She was very gentle & delicate with the waxing! She listened to what I wanted for my hair & executed it perfectly. I am extremely happy with how my hair/brows turned out. She was even very cautious of my new ear piercings so she wouldn’t snag them! I will definitely be booking my appointments with her from now on!

This is by far one of the best salons in Des Moines. Everyone is so personable and friendly not to mention the staff is incredibly knowledgeable. Everyone is so well trained. They even take the time to teach you.  I wouldn't trust my hair to anyone else! Great people, great products, healthy hair!

I recently moved to Des Moines and was in need of a good cut. I did a little research and chose J. Michaels. This salon is classy and fabulous! The ladies are welcoming, experienced and knowledgeable. I love Anita! Her choice of products and style are spot on! I left there feeling amazing, with silky healthy hair.

Anita is so kind and interested in pleasing me.  Recently I had a two part brain surgery, and she worked with me to find a hair style conducive to my shaved gray head on one side and longer on the opposite side.  Once I found the best, I love sticking with her.

Absolutely loved my experience here. I had my hair and makeup done here for my wedding. I had my hair curled and pulled partially back, and a natural makeup done. I picked this place super last minute and didn't do a test run, so I was so nervous about how it'd turn out. I was so relieved when my look turned out so well. The only thing I altered were the fake eyelashes. I asked for them, never having had them before. I ended up removing them before the wedding, due to not liking the feel of them. Which was in no way the fault of the stylist, I just discovered I wasn't a fan, which is completely fine. I highly recommend going here for your special occasions!
