Island Delights Caribbean Restaurant

I happened upon this place on my way looking for someplace to grab a quick lunch during work. I've always wanted to try Jamaican food, but have never been brave enough because spicy food usually isn't my thing. I entered the establishment, and the staff there was amazing. They told me about the dishes and I was able to ask questions about the spice level without judgement. I ordered the curry chicken lunch, which is amazing. But while waiting the lady brought me out a small plate of Jerk Chicken so I could try it with and without the sauce. It was so good, I nearly licked the plate! I will definitely be ordering from here again! The people and the food are amazing! Great place to go to try Jamaican food for your first time!

One of the best places I've been in Winchester. Very clean and friendly with a nice chill atmosphere. Prices are good but the food is amazing. The jerk chicken was the right spice and cooked perfect. You get a lot of food for it too. Definitely coming back here again.

Omg this place is so good. Found a coupon and decided we were tired of pizza and burgers. My husband had the jerk chicken and was making all kinds of noises of pleasure eating it. We both had mac and cheese...and he kept stealing mine. I had the brown stew chicken with beans and rice and the cabbage. I loved the cabbage and the chicken and beans and rice...well everything. The service was also awesome. My husband stated that this is the best place we've eaten at since moving here 8 months ago. We will be back...often. :)

Premium process for average food Prices have gone up and up. $19 for curry shrimp with very small shrimp. This was not one time. Every time. Plantains very greasy. Wings and patties are not home-made. Otherwise the food is tasty. Restaurant interior is taco-shack quality ( no problem with that but should not have to pay a premium for it). Neither food not environment justify the exorbitant prices. Post note: my sister just opened the order of $19 curry shrimp that i got to go for her. It has HALF the amount of curry shrimp as what we were served in the restaurant. Mostly white rice. That's last straw for me. I'll never return.

We stumbled across this place by accident, a couple days ago, while looking for a Thai restaurant (that's closed down) in the connecting plaza. I am SO glad too. I caught the smell of their smoker outside and we walked over. The owner, Donna, was really nice, chatted with us for a while and provided GREAT service. The only thing better was the food itself. We had the jerk chicken, beans & rice, and cabbage with carrots. I'm glad I brought my appetite because you more than get your money's worth. I wish I lived in the area because I would become a regular there. As a food junkie and cook myself, I HIGHLY recommend this place.
