Hatch Early Mood Food

First time going here and we did not have the best experience. Our server was Luis and he was not very attentive. You could tell he did not want to be there. I asked for coffee and water. Husband ordered a Sprite. We got the water and Sprite but had to wait on the coffee which was fine. But when he brought it out, forgot my cream. He disappeared and we did not see him again until our food came out which someone else brought it, a nice young lady. I had to ask her for the cream which she brought right out. They messed up on my husbands order, he was missing a few things which the waiter argued with us about it. We finally got that sorted out and got the missing items. We never got asked for a refill and he did not come back until it was time to get our bill. The food was really amazing which is why I am giving this a 3 star instead of a 1 star. And the other staff was very friendly. Not the best first impression, but if we do come back hopefully we get a better server.

I liked the feel of the place probably more than the food (which is not bad at all), I just like the warehouse type of atmosphere. The food is pretty good, I had chicken fried steak and eggs. The only thing I didn't like was we didn't know they had so many coffee drink options and only found out because we asked what one of the espresso machines was for and then they gave us a drink menu. Overall I would go back, the staff was nice.

This was my 3rd time at hatch! I obviously loved it or I wouldn't have been back. However, this time was a different experience. At first our waitress was great! We had no complaints but, when we were done it took 10-20 minutes to get a box and our check because the waiting staff was huddled up in a corner talking and laughing nonstop. The food is amazing but, the waitstaff have some changing to do before I decide to go back.

I have never wrote a review on here until now. This food is so good that My day was made. The eggs Benedict and biscuits and gravy made me wonder who made this miracle happen? Why did it take me 25 years to find this place??? Frank was awesome as well.

We we’re really looking forward to breakfast at Hatch after hearing so many good things about Hatch downtown. There was no wait on Thursday morning & we were in a bit of a hurry, so we were off to a good start. The server was prompt & very pleasant in getting our drinks & taking our order. And it went downhill from there. My husband commented that there were so many plates in the window that the cooks were running out of room. And we waited & waited & waited. We both ordered biscuits & gravy & 2 eggs, one gravy with meat & one without. The four people next to us ordered at least 5 minutes after we did & had waffles & chicken & a variety of other food. Their food came out first. When we got our food, it was cold. Cold gravy & cold over easy eggs...yuk. The gravy without sausage was not edible. It tasted like it had come from the top of a burned batch of gravy. It didn’t look burned but it sure tasted burned. So, 4 biscuits, gravy, 4 eggs, & 2 cups of coffee=$28.00. That’s before the tip! We’re feeling burned!!! Not in a big hurry to go back.
