Guardado's Restaurant

Most amazing food I've ever eaten. Definitely a hidden gem in Bethesda. If you have a any chance of going here I highly suggest it. No matter what you get, scallops, pork, queso, Caesar salad, etc, it is prepared amazingly. Not too expensive at all and the staff is more than friendly.

Never had tapas or paella, but it was fantastic. Nice staff and a seemingly clean establishment. It is certainly on the small side so I wouldn't come in a group much larger than 6 people maybe, but they seemed accommodating for a family of 8-10 people when I was there. Just keep in mind it is a small place so don't expect roomy booths or tables. Overall, I would certainly recommend this restaurant and would gladly visit again.

We have been going to this place for years. Reyna, Nico, and the family never fail to disappoint with the quality of their food or their hospitality. Hidden neighborhood secret? They have some of the best tapas in town. No. Wait. I take it all back... Don't go! And whatever you do, don't get the tapas. Seriously. Forget it. You'll be done, finished. This place will become one of your favorites. And for Pete's sake I'm warning you, DON'T get the just-like-my mother-used-to-make-it FLAN no matter what! It will NOT just melt in your mouth with custardy goodness with a tint of citrus like it does in mine. Better to just move along, continue on your day. Nothing to see here...

Came here with a large group for a birthday party. People are raving about their service but it was sure lacking tonight. Had to asked multiple times for water and cutlery along with long waits to get the things we requested. Though the staff were nice, but it was hard to track them down! Ordered the Calamares Fritos and the Carne a La Parrilla. The calamari was a good portion for the price and was crispy. Also, it was not salty (which is a good thing to me) at all so the dipping sauce definitely came in handy. Though it was a bit too chewy for calamari- either a bit overcooked or the quality wasn't there compared to other places were it would be very soft and less chewing needed. The steak was cooked perfectly (medium rare) and had a good fat to meat ratio. Also, the steak and the roasted vegs and mashed potatoes portion was decently sized for the price.
