Food Terminal

Food terminal has been at the top of our places to try list and wow we have no clue why we waited so long. We love their sister bakery sweet hut! Malaysian cuisine is hard to come across and boy do they do it great justice here. Bursting with flavor and fresh as ever we cannot wait to return. We tried the spare ribs, beef rengdang, eggplant, okra and Tom Yum. We also had yum yum wings as an appetizer. And they were just that YUMMY! Of our entrees everything was great but the Tom Yum (chicken and shrimp) was the most impressive. Sizzling as it reached the table and the seasoning and hints of fresh lime make for a refreshing and fulfilling meal. A definite MUST TRY. Oh yeah probably the most Impressive menu we’ve ever seen!

I went to the Food Terminal on my birthday today since I had heard so much about this place and also I wanted to try something NEW for my birthday dinner. When I went in, the place was big and open and was very nice. The person took me to my table and was very gracious as he gave me my menu. For the 1st time customer, the menu was amazing and very descriptive with what is in the item that you are about the order, except for the appetizers which didn't give much info as to what is in it. My waitress along with another waiter was very nice as far as explaining to me about all of what the goes into the foods. They answered my questions thoroughly and I was very impressed by that. What I wasn't impressed with however was the food itself. After about a couple of minutes of trying to decide what I had wanted, I decided to try the Garlic Bone Marrow (Again as I said, I wanted to try something new and different than what I've normally eaten) along with the 5 spice Shrimp Roll w/ pork. The taste of everything was completely bland and off. The soup was bland and I swear I don't know what was going on but it wasn't seasoned properly. I had a rough time trying to finish it along with the rolls which honestly was no good. Literally the ONLY thing was good about my meal was the Watermelon Juice, which I never did get a refill, if refills were free or not because no one came to ask me if I wanted more. I will have to figure if I want to come back much less bring my daughter here because she had wanted to come as well because the food had no taste and was bland and not well seasoned. Even with me putting a bit of soy sauce it in, it STILL DID NO GOOD.

An amazing experience! This was my first time at this establishment, but it will not be my last. I hate that it took so long for me to be introduced to this place, an ultra modern dinning event. Beautiful decor and layout. Very spacious as well. I throughly enjoyed the menus, the menus were designed to look like a full magazine. The pictures of the food looked amazing! And my plate looked just like the picture. Truth in advertising! The flavors were exhilarating! Service was great! I am looking forward to my next visit.

Great food! Took us a bit to order (at no fault to the establishment). Their menu is large and creatively done up like a magazine with lots of pictures. I really wish this technique was adopted by many more restaurants along Buford hwy. Seeing the pictures helps me to be adventurous. Their service and quality was fantastic! I'll be back here for sure.

2nd time here and everything is as great as my first experience. Very clean with friendly staff. Promptly greeted and shown to my table. Food came out delicious! Will come back again and recommend people come and give it a try.
