Christian Counseling Center is run by Pastor/Counselor Peter Brewer and Pastor/Counselor Cheryl Brewer. We have over 40 years of combined experience.
We offer a wide range of counseling services. We do marriage and family counseling and help with difficult relational problems. We do therapy to help with depression, anxiety, anger and many other emotional issues.
We specialize in doing trauma therapy. We have hundreds of hours of continuing education in this field and thousands of hours of experience in working with survivors of trauma. Some trauma may be from a current event. However, survivors with the most severe symptoms often have experienced trauma from early childhood abuse – much of it so severe that some of the memories may have been repressed in order to survive.
We are trained EMDR practitioners. EMDR – Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) is a powerful method of psychotherapy. EMDR has helped millions of people of all ages relieve many types of psychological distress including PTSD.
