Carrie Murray Nature Center

This place is very informative and a great place for kids and people to learn about bugs and animals and the wilderness. The staff was great and the children learned a lot. I reccomend this place.

The building is pretty small but they have some pretty cool animals (mostly reptiles and amphibians, plus few birds). I especially liked the large lizards and the chameleon because of its colors. They keep it pretty warm so your more likely to see the snakes and other reptiles active (and it's a great respite from the cold of winter). Plus, all the animals are rescue animals and the staff are friendly and happy to help you find the sneakier animals.

Best part of west Baltimore! Hawks, turtles, vultures, and owls oh my! This is a must see if you love nature and like to walk the trails but live in the city! This area will be the spot to be when Baltimore turns the city around!
