Cafe Kacao

Very much enjoyed eating here. Setup a reservation prior to coming so we didn't have to wait. I would highly recommend doing this during the brunch rush. The coffee was great, the atmosphere was nice, and the food was absolutely delicious. I can't complain about the service as it was quick, and the waiter was giving our table refills as needed without being flagged down. I see why it is my friend's favorite spot for breakfast.

Unfortunately, I was not able to try any of the food. This review is based on customer service alone and what to expect in terms of timing. I will update when I am able to comment on the quality of food. A friend and I had decided to have Sunday lunch here after hearing wonderful things about the food. We were well aware that this restaurant is very popular and decided to make our reservation using the NoWait app. Our wait time was estimated at a little over one hour. We arrived at the location once our timer had approached. The hostess who greeted us quickly checked us in, however it was not stated how long we were expected to wait for our table. After checking in, we were ignored by the staff as other patrons came and went. After nearly 30 minutes of additional wait time and no further communication with the staff, we decided to leave. Though we cannot fault the restaurant for being popular (and probably for a reason), I felt that the situation could have been handled better. I hope my next visit is met with a more timely service.

Two Name change suggestions. Cafe KAPOW or Cafe OH WOW. Please feel free to use them, no charge. I've gone three times now and haven't been disappointed. The service is great, ready to listen, and get your order right. They have options if you don't want to wait, call in, order take out, order pick up. Most importantly they have DELICIOUS FOOD. I am going to actively eat through their menu... I might eat the menu too, just to make sure. IF you wonder if you should try the french toast, the answer is yes. Yes you should.

The food is good but worth the 2 hour wait. My brother took my mother and I there and we were told that we were the only large party. We were a party of 9 and told we would be the first large party seated. But some how a party of 10 and a party of 14 was seated before us. The building is too small of the amount of tables. I don't like touching people who are not at my table. The seating area is too cramped.

I've lived and several areas and this is the best South American my palette has met! Soup of the day is served Monday through Friday and is always the best way to get the day started! Overall the unique menu items and lattes and coffees always arrive to the table looking great and tasting better.
