Aspen Hill General & Cosmetic Dentistry

Been going here for years. Most of the time, it's great. However, this last time not so much. They said I had a couple small cavities, neither of which were bothering me at all. So I go in to have them filled, and now I feel pain in one of them after the filling that I did not feel beforehand. Very upset by this.

Dr. Goorah is an excellent dentist. She really takes the time to explain the procedures and carries them out with a lot of care. Her staff is very professional and caring. Christine the hygienist is truly an expert at what she does. She is very patient and takes the needed time to clean my teeth. I highly recommend Aspen Hill General and Cosmetic Dentistry.

I came in today to see Dr. Tam, she was awesome. Took her time and did a great job. Her assistant, Mariah was really nice and took her time to explain my treatment plan and answered all my questions. The front desk staff was great, Kesha, Maria and Jackie were very helpful. I definitely recommend them!

Our experience here has been expensive and time consuming. Each time we arrived on time or 15 minutes early, we have been made to wait over 1 hr for our appointments. Further, the doctors seem to be either over-scheduled or poorly organized in their schedules. Billing of procedures should be made clear upon treatment planning, but the dentist's and periodontists do their best to work with patients. The demeanor of the dentist's and especially, Dr. Jana McCall was great. She was kind and gentle with my grandparent. I appreciate this bedside manner. The front desk area needs a bit of help on their customer service. They seem excited to bill but not to serve. Did I mention that the wait time in the dental chair was also approximately 30 minutes more? Not a great experience. I would come back solely for this periodontist and her assistants but not necessarily the remaining staff.

I chose this practice for my endodontist consultation and ultimate root canal strictly for their location and the alphabetical listing in the CareFirst dental list. I did look at several negative reviews which I largely ignored because none spoke to the quality of dentistry or a positive customer service experience. My experience was excellent. I was warmly greeted, treated with care and respect and all of my questions and concerns addressed. Five stars! One star off for the tired and crowded office decor and waiting room. Re-modeling or relocating should be considered.
